Top 10 tips to Study Hard for Preparation of Exams

Top 10 Tips to Study Hard and Learn Faster for Preparation of exams

1. Find a reason for which you are gonna to study

This might sound a little out of the topic, but believe me that if you have a reason for studying you can increase your performance in exams by at least 150%. When you have a reason for studying you would be more motivated and thus it will positively affect your exams.

2. Do 'SWOT' Analysis

Top ten tips to study hard and prepare for exams

The creation of this technique is credited to Albert Humphery, who led a convention in Stanford University in the 1960s and 1970s using data from Fortune 500 companies. SWOT analysis is a very effective technique to improve your performance in any situation. 'S' in SWOT stands for your 'strengths', 'W' for your 'weaknesses', 'O' stands for your opportunities or what you would get  from this task (in this case the opportunities are the marks that you will get in exams) and 'T' stands for 'threads' or 'things that can stop you from completing the task'.

This technique can highly help you as understanding yourself can help you understand what you should now read.

3. Group Study

You should also consider studying in groups as it can improve your performance in exams. While studying in groups consider that you and your friends ask questions to each other.

Well while I have written that you should consider asking questions but I would also like to say that you should not ask all the questions. In other words you should have some question specially the questions from in the chapters for only yourself and you should not ask these questions to anyone.

I know that it sounds like cheating but its not cheating and you are just only not showing the answers. And not showing the answers is not cheating.

4. Use Flow Charts and Diagrams

Top ten tips to study hard and prepare for exams

You can read a thing ten times to remember it or simply, you can use a flow chart or diagrams to remember it visually. Visual aids can be really helpful when revising. At start of the topic write everything you can write about that particular topic clearly, then you need to think whether you are satisfied whit the answer or not. If you are satisfied with the answer then it is nice but if you are not satisfied, then it is time to visualise your answer. Prepare and remember flow charts and diagrams and try to remember it because it is much easy to remember a image than remembering any boring answer.

Flow charts help in remembering the answer by dividing it into many parts. Well of course, the size and number of words in the answer would be the same but the perception by which we look at any answer when we try to remember it will change.

5. Take look at old exam papers

Well it is not a thing to mention that you should also look at the last few years papers of that exam but surprisingly many people ignore this thing. Looking at old exam papers helps you to get used to the format of the questions. Also there are some questions that come in every year's exams. So looking at the old papers can be benificial.

There are a lot of websites depending on the exams from where you can find the papers of old exams.

6. Giving mock tests

Today in this digital generation you can give mock tests online in order to prepare yourself for the exams. You can easily give a mock test by searching it online and going to any web page.By giving these mock tests you can get some questions from in between the chapters on which you have not looked yet.

You can also ask you friends or anyone to ask question to you from your slaybus and easily prepare if you are unable to give a mock test online. But I recommend giving a mock test online.

7. Take short breaks in long studies

While you can say that you don't have the time to take breaks in such a time when the exams are very near but believe me that taking short breaks in long time studies will benefit you. Such at after studying for about 30 to 40 minutes you can take a break of about 5 to 10 minutes to refresh you. It will refresh your mind and will give you the energy to be prepared to study more better.

Well I would also like to say that taking breaks between studies is easier but after taking breaks coming back to studies is hard. So you should consider that your break should be short.

8. Prefer reading at early mornings

Well whatever the excuse you give, I strongly recommend studying at early morning. There is also a reason to study at early mornings. When you study at night your mind is slightly tired and you can have a little trouble reading at night but wen you read at early morning the mind is fresh and you can also read and learn easily than at night. Also, at night there is some noise but at early mornings you will generally have no noise.

9. Use all your resources

Well its a thing which does not needs to be mentioned that you should use all possible resources. Well but there are many who do not use all there resources. The reason can be that they do not know about the resource or the are slightly shy to use them because sometimes you need to tell the people before using that resource. There can be also other reason for not using these resources.

10. Be yourself

Well, many people sought to copy the things that the toppers do so that they can also score that good in the exams but it is a very bad idea to do. Everyone is different and so you should not just do a thing because the topper has did it. Do that thing because you think that you can also achieve by doing so. Only copying the toppers would not make you also a topper.

11. Try making your own tricks

Only following the tricks would not make you a topper, you also need to make some of your own tricks so that you can learn much faster. Following others tricks can make you a good student but following your tricks can make you a better students. So always try to make some your own tricks so that you can take advantage of these and since they are made by you you will not have any difficulties in implementing it.
